Pie crust for cake

Lately I am starting to realise how beneficial it is to have me as a friend – I am bringing cake to my friends not only on their birthdays, but also on daily basis! However, I made this cake for one of my friend’s birthday. It is made from simple pie crust, leftovers from my aquafaba whipping cream and topped with fresh fruits and berries. 

Ingredients for the crust:

  • 1 1/2 cup (250 ml) flour
  • 1/2 cup (250 ml) vegetable oil
  • 2 tea spoons sugar
  • 1 tea spoon salt
  • 3 table spoons soy milk (or water, or any other plant based milk)


Start by preheating oven to 180°C (350°F). Mix together all the dry ingredients, then add oil, mix again, add milk and mix again. Spray cooking pan (approx. 25 cm diameter) with some vegetable oil and equally place the dought in it. Bake it in the oven for 20-25 minutes. Once it is done, let it cool down. Spread it with some jam, aquafaba whipping cream, decorate with some berries or as you wish. This step depends on you!
