Coconut cream frosting. Less sugar, dairy free and vegan

Video recipe here!

Here is an easy coconut cream frosting recipe. It doesn’t require as much sugar as usual sugar frostings, because coconut cream helps to thicken it up. So that’s an improvement! Furthermore, it is vegan and therefore dairy free. You can use this frosting not only as a frosting but also as a dipping for fruits or spread for example for pancakes! Yum!

Ingredients:

  • cream from 1 can of coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup of powder sugar
  • 1 teasp. vanilla extract

Process:

Cool down the coconut milk in a fridge for at least 2 hours if it has been in a warm temperature before. Separate cream from the coconut water and place it in a bowl. Add powder sugar, vanilla extract and mix it well. Let it sit in the fridge for couple of hours and it is ready to be used as a frosting or spread.
